Tuesday was hardly a day to remember in the racing world and it was hard work to try and ensure this section had some reasonable content. The English ‘Summer’ continued and Chepstow felt the full force of this with it’s evening card turning to very testing ground. Brighton and Hamilton managed to miss anything too ferocious on the weather front, whilst Stratford held an evening of low-key summer jumping.
3 15 FASHION PARADE (C Hills) 8/1, C5 3YO Maiden, IM2F, Good
This race may appear to look weak with a quick and initial glance, but looking closer there is some consistent enough form and until now FASHION PARADE had run reasonably in two okay races. The step up from a mile to ten furlongs benefitted the horse hugely, despite the pedigree suggesting it may not. It will still take stark improvement to get this horse anywhere near a top Charlie Hills horse, but after shedding her maiden tag, Hills will want to begin building on this hint of promise.
